Cats naturally drink more from running water than from still water: it is a reflex inherited from their ancestors, for whom moving water meant safe water. A bowl filled in the morning is often ignored by the afternoon.

This is especially true of cats on dry food, which provides almost no water, unlike wet food.

The fountain filters the water and circulates it continuously. The reservoir is see-through, so you can check the level at a glance instead of finding it empty.

Set up the fountain in a different room from the litter box: most cats won't drink right next to where they relieve themselves. For any health question, your veterinarian is the only person to ask.
