Every CatMatik litter box is covered by the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity, which you are entitled to free of charge and by right (Articles L. 217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). During those two years, a fault is repaired or the unit replaced, with shipping both ways at our expense.
CatMatik Care extends this coverage beyond two years and adds the wear parts in the mechanism. It is an option, not a condition: your litter box is covered without it, and the extension is never added to your order by default.
You choose it when you buy the litter box. Its term runs from the day you receive the unit: the 36-month plan brings total coverage to three years, the 48-month plan to four years.
This extension is optional. The 2-year legal guarantee of conformity applies to your purchase free of charge, whether or not you take it out; it already covers motor faults, sensors and electronics, shipping both ways included.
